RIPARIAN CONDITION MAPPING
Riparian Condition Mapping
As part of The Big Picture, detailed maps have been created to help catchment groups assess riparian condition and vegetation types along waterways.
Why These Maps Matter
Understanding riparian health is key to improving water quality, stabilising stream banks, and enhancing biodiversity. These maps help catchment groups;
-
identify areas where riparian management is most needed,
-
prioritise restoration efforts for maximum environmental impact,
-
make informed decisions about planting and erosion control.
Accessing the Maps
TLC coordinators have access to these maps and can provide them to your catchment group. To find out who your local TLC catchment coordinator is, visit your catchment page.
